Shungite is an ancient rock formation, a natural mineral of unusual composition and structure. It has unique properties and is extracted in Karelia near the small settlement called Shunga. Hence the name Shungite. For centuries the local residents have been aware of Shungite's mysterious "great power" or black "slate stone"(as it was known in the old days), similar to coal it has been used for healing many illnesses and purifying water in the area.
Shungite receives its healing power from one of its elements, fullerenes. and were discovered in Shungite a few decades ago. Fullerenes, getting in our body, behave as the most powerful and most long-acting antioxidant as a means to fight free radicals. Today, doctors have great hopes for fullerenes.
Moldavite is a green translucent silica meteoric glass created by a large cosmic velocity meteorite which vaporized when it struck the earth in Nordlingen, Germany. A small percentage of that vapor was propelled into the ionosphere by the impact explosion through the hole punched in the earth's dense atmosphere. When this silica vapor reached the cold of outer space, it condensed then solidified and fell back to earth creating a strewn field of lime green tektite, several hundred miles away in the Moldau River Valley north of Prague, Czech Republic. Thus the name Moldavite.
Herkimer diamonds are not actually diamonds; they are double-terminated quartz crystals. They are named for their distinctive double-pointed shape, which resembles a diamond. These crystals are found in Herkimer County, New York. They are known for their high clarity and beautiful facets
